This is my question...am I growing in Christ?
I am teaching a Sunday School class. I am facilitating the Esther Bible Study. I am having my quiet time and praying throughout the day. But, am I really growing in Christ?
Please comment on what you do to grow in Christ. I would appreciate your comments. My heart is one that wants to be more and more like our Savior; but, I also want to have an intimate relationship with Him.
From my heart,
Sheryl

I love all of these things you list that you are doing, Sheryl. They have all helped me grow in Him at different times. My quiet time is perhaps the most precious time for me--the time I feel Him teaching me the most. Especially when I am praying HIs word and open a dialogue with HIm about my reading.
Thank you for your kind words and prayers over our little robbery recently. It has been a bit eye opening for me, to see my husband's faith so strong through it all.

Sheryl,
I know from experience that it is so easy to "DO" stuff for the Lord and let your relationship with Him slip. I guess the piece of advice that I would share is for us to try to be in the moment WITH HIM! When we are doing our Bible studies, ask Him to speak specifically to us. When we are serving for Him, ask Him to show us Himself in those we serve. In trial and trouble, seek Him and hold onto Him with everything we have, even though it seems dark and quiet and lonely. Trust His heart.

OH sweet Sheryl! I just love your heart. I think you are doing great things to grow. Each season for me looks different but the season I am in currently is what I like to call a soaking season. I am in a wonderful church that is challenging me to really live the Word out like never before. I love just sitting at His feet in His presence. Currently that has me in deep study. Other times I will be in more praise and worship which seems to play a part of this as well. Anyway, just a few things I do. The only way I can really see if I am growing is to look at Christ and see where my heart is now from before. It seems the closer or more I grow the more I see I need to grow!!!
Much love,
Angela
He knows the desire of your heart and is well pleased. When you tell Him to change you more into His own image, that is one prayer request He loves to answer.
Be prepared for the ride of a lifetime!
Great question Sheryl! A question we all need to constant ask ourselves. It can be the slightest improvement in growth, but at the same time it is growing.
Thank you for sharing!
Blessings.
