Psalm 18:16-19
He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

Just a quick note to let you know that I've missed you at the blog. I've thought a lot about you this week and hope that you are off to a good start in 2009. I'm participating in the Beth Moore challenege also. My 1st verse if Isaiah 54:10...
"'Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,' says the LORD, who has compassion on you."
I'm so glad to know that even if the protection of God's mountains and hills seem in peril, his love and peace can still be my portion. I don't know if you needed to hear that today, but I have a feeling that you might.
Much love to you, friend.

praying for you,

I like your memory verse! I love reading which verses people choose. It helps me to get to know you better! Anyway... I hope to hear about what lingers as you read along side of everyone reading the Bible chronologically! Take care!
I'll pray that you can meditate on these Words!
Much love,
Angie xoxo
If you don't mind, I want to test myself on your blog to see if I remember mine correctly. Okay...
"And Hope does not disappoint, because God poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he gave us." (Romans 5:5)
I have never memorized Scripture before and this is a challenge for this 46 year old!
Much love,
Angie xoxo
PS - I added your link to my Cover to Cover blog...

I am joining y'all this year in the readings.
Sheryl! I love the new look of your blog. Wow, is it cute!
I love this verse too. I know several bloggy siestas participating and I might jump in at some point. I am still feeling like I'm behind from the holidays. We were all sick, and so were my co-workers; so I had to work a little more than usual.
Once I get behind, it's difficult for me to relax and enjoy. Sooo...all this to say that I hope things settle down soon!
Blessings, Sheryl.

Blessings,
